Innate classicality
9:01 PM
For every person, there will always be one musical piece, with or without lyrics, that moves him or her. For me, it will and has always be the piano piece, Claire de Lune. *sigh*Whenever I study, I switch my iTunes on my "study music" playlist. In that playlist are mezzo tempo-ed classical songs that have always been a part of my study routine. Haha. I work better that way. Claire de Lune is playing as I type and each time that piece plays in the midst of my studying, I can't help but stop and listen. I don't know. It's sounds sort of melancholic to me but very soothing at the same time. I remember hearing that piece for the first time when I was 8-ish and I remember, too, stopping in the middle of chasing my dog, Ginger. The moment that piece plays, palagi akong nagbubuntong- hininga. Ang sarap talaga pakinggan. Imagine my excitement when I heard Claire de Lune being played in the movie, Atonement. Hahahaha woohoooo. Dario Marinelli, the musical director person something of Atonement (aaand Pride and Prejudice, as well), has become my new favorite movie composer gente when it comes to movie soundtracks and it was just puuuuuuuure genius when he added Claire de Lune to the Atonement soundtrack. Ugh super bagaaaaay. Okay... I'm off-- to my Law-midterms-studying activities. |
