Noooooooooob
11:07 AM
There was once a time when I greatly favoured underdogs in different sports and made them my favourites. I started watching baseball when I was 9 and I liked the Atlanta Braves. I quickly got over that phase because I just couldn't get the sport hahaha. Soon after, I started watching Tennis and F1. I never watched these sports for the sport per se, but I watched it because each discipline had cute athletes HAHA. Yeaaaaahh. I stated watching them at the same age I started forcing myself to be sporty (9 years). My favourite back then was Andy Roddick (for Tennis) and Ralph Schumacher (F1). I quickly switched favourites when I was 12 because new athletes caught my eye. I favoured Rafael Nadal (Tennis), Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen (F1) then.Nadal, I think, was just 16 or 17 when I started watching his games and, boy, was he such a big noob. He never won a lot of games back then. He was just this kid starting out in pro tennis-- but now look at him, French open, US open, Wimbledon, OLYMPICS? He's won them all. I just simply luuuuuuurve him (I feel like a proud momma who has watched him grow or something HAHA). Alonso, just like Nadal, was sort of a noob when I started watching him. Naabutan ko pa yung time na wala siya sa poll positions. If I remember correctly, the highest ranking that I first watched him reach was 8th. Then came the race where he won his first silver. Methinks 'twas in Spain (yep, his hometown) and, boy, did his fellow Spaniards cheer for him hahaa. I know he isn't such a top racer now but I know he's won number1 driver overall in previous seasons. Proud momma, yet again (pseudo). Raikkonen wasn't such a noob when I started watching him. I liked him because he was guapo, nada mas. Haha I kid. I'll admit, he was reallyyyy good and his car was shiiiiny (I was a kid back then so don't expect me to like something that isn't mababaw haha). He always won 2nd place in races when I started watching F1, so yeah. Been a fan ever since. Now I'm sad, though. Sad because I don't get to watch Tennis or F1. Poopoo. I don't know what's going on and it sucks haha. Oh well. There's always the internet. How lame. |
